Description

The 3rd Maintenance Squadron (3rd MXS) Fabrication Flight, located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), AK, requires professional carbon filter media with installation and disposal of spent carbon for air filtration systems in Building 6263 and Building 9696.

• The Corrosion Facility (Bldg. 6263) operates three paint booths requiring a total of 440 filters. This setup includes two small paint booths that need enough carbon pellets to fill 160 filters total (80 per booth). The filters for these small booths measure 20" L x 3" W x 20" H. Additionally, the facility houses one large paint booth that requires carbon pellets to fill 280 filters, which measure 24" L x 3" W x 24" H. • The ASMLO Facility (Bldg. 9696) consists of four aircraft bays requiring a total of 792 filters. All filters utilized in the ASMLO facility are identically sized. Each of the four bays requires 198 large filters, all measuring 24" L x 3" W x 24" H.

Requirement: 1. Carbon Media delivery and installation of 34,000 lbs of 4mm particle carbon pellets. 2. Removal and disposal of spent carbon in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations. 3. Installation of new carbon must strictly adhere to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) instructions. 4. Contractor is responsible for furnishing all equipment and specialized tools required to complete the maintenance. 5. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform a bulk carbon filter exchange.
