Description
The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a bridge action by modifying the current Task Order, N0017320F2029, titled "Research and Development Efforts for High Performance Computing", with Arcfield on a sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.103-1, Only one responsible offeror and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The purpose of this modification is to provide continuity of specialized Research, Development, Testing, & Evaluation (RDT&E) services to the Information Technology Division (ITD) located at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. This effort consists of comprehensive efforts that significantly improve end-to-end computer network performance over an entire network enterprise. This covers all layers of the network stack and includes the displays, the Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications, the data, the storage, security and the protocols, policies and directives that govern the enterprise. This extends from tactical edge, to High Performance Networking Center (HPC). The bridge period will be for six (6) months for a revised and estimated period of performance of 29 July 2026 through 28 January 2027.
