Description

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) is seeking to charter a vessel to conduct an annual snow crab survey on the Scotian Shelf for stock assessment purposes. The vessel will serve as a research platform, carrying a minimum crew of a Captain, three crew members, and three scientific personnel, and is expected to complete up to 400 survey stations annually. The project will take place approximately between August 1 and January 15 each year, with the vessel required to berth at various ports along the Atlantic Coast of Nova Scotia. The initial contract term is 12 months, with options to extend for up to four additional one-year periods.
