This opportunity involves the procurement of brand name KLEENBLAST abrasive blast grit for use in Naval Ship Repair at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. - Government Buyer: - Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Maritime - Pearl Harbor, Competitive Sourcing Division (DLA-HMD) - Naval Ship Repair (PHNSY & IMF) - OEMs and Vendors: - KLEENBLAST (a subsidiary of CANAM MINERALS) is the sole authorized manufacturer - Products/Services Requested: - 100 bags of KLEENBLAST 16/30 mesh premium abrasive blast grit - Each bag weighs 1 ton (2000 lbs) - Iron alumina silicate derived from copper slag - Compliant with MIL-PRF-22262 and QPL-22262 - HAZMAT classification - Includes Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and batch certifications - Packaging per MIL-STD-147E, with specific palletizing and protective requirements - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Only KLEENBLAST brand is acceptable due to NAVSEA and local authorization and QPL-22262 listing - No alternate manufacturers will be considered - Traceability documentation to the OEM is required (e.g., OEM quote, letter, or authorized dealer listing) - Strict quality, traceability, and hazardous material compliance - 8-week lead time for delivery after award - Delivery to Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Hawaii - Evaluation is based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA)

Evaluation criteria is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). PPIRS will be used to determine vendor responsibility.  Potential contractors will be screened for responsibility in accordance with FAR 9.104. 

This is a brand name to KLEENBLAST subsidiary of CANAM MINERALS due to material being authorized for Naval Ship Repair per local and NAVSEA instructions and by its inclusion within QPL-22262.

Quotations received that represent a different manufacturer will not be considered for award.

Offerors are required to submit  traceability back to the MFR.  Failure to provide this information may result in your quotation being determined technically unacceptable.

Examples of acceptable traceability are: 

1) A copy of a quotation from an approved source specified in the solicitation;

2) A copy of the letter from the approved source stating that your company is an authorized dealer/distributor for  the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your company as an authorized dealer/distributors; or

3) A copy of the letter from an approved source specified in the solicitation stating that the company you are procuring the item from is an authorized dealer/distributor for the approved source or the approved source’s official web site listing your source as its authorized dealer/distributors, along with a copy of the dealer/distributor’s quotation to you for the item quoted.
