Description

The project involves construction work for water system improvements including installation of approximately 4,050 linear feet of open trench 6-inch PVC water main, 575 linear feet of 6-inch fusible PVC by horizontal directional drill, 280 linear feet of open trench 2-inch PVC water main, 120 linear feet of 2-inch fusible PVC or HDPE by horizontal directional drill, and 285 linear feet of 12-inch jack & bore steel casing. Additional work includes installation of 32 gate valves (6-inch), 8 fire hydrants, 900 square yards of sidewalk removal and replacement, 50 service transfers, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete installation. The project is funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant and is subject to federal requirements including the Build America, Buy America Act.
