Description

Transport Canada requires access to secure, real-time Canadian vehicle registration and ownership data to support claim review and validation processes under the Electric Vehicle Affordability Program (EVAP). The program aims to improve affordability of electric vehicles, increase adoption of Canadian-made EVs, and reduce the price gap between EVs and internal combustion engine vehicles. The contractor must provide authorized Transport Canada employees with access to a secure, web-based portal to verify vehicle registration and ownership data across all Canadian jurisdictions. The system must verify date of birth for individuals, Vehicle Identification Numbers, postal codes, and province/territory of registration to aid in claim validity determination.
