The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking quotations for a Time-Domain Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (TD-NMR) Body Composition Analyzer for laboratory use at the National Poultry Research Center in Athens, GA. - Government Buyer: - United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Acquisition and Property Division (APD) - OEMs and Vendors: - Bruker (Bruker LF90 Minispec Analyzer specified as a reference or equal) - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) benchtop TD-NMR Body Composition Analyzer (Bruker LF90 Minispec Analyzer or equal) - Must measure composition (moisture, protein, fat, connective tissue) and T2 water properties in intact meat samples up to 650 g and small poultry carcasses - Includes probes/sample holders for both small tissue samples and larger samples up to 650 g - Operational software for automated acquisition, analysis, and support for longitudinal studies - Operating manuals, training materials, and maintenance documentation - Support Services: - Technical support - On-site setup and initial operational training for laboratory personnel - Inclusive of shipping, training, setup, and associated fees - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Analyzer must be non-invasive and operate without cryogens - High throughput capability (at least 30 samples per day) - Software must support user-defined workflows and automated analysis - Delivery required within 60 days after award - Firm fixed price purchase order anticipated

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.  

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q0691 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for Time-Domain Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (TD-NMR) Body Composition Analyzer. 

This acquisition is not set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334516  The small business size standard is 1,000 employees  This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement.   All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
