Description
The Town of Stoughton, in partnership with the RM of Tecumseh No. 65, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the development of a new multi-purpose recreation facility approximately 45,000 square feet in size. The facility will include an NHL-sized ice surface, six dressing rooms, community hall and event space, fitness centre, indoor walking track, meeting rooms, food and beverage service areas, and integration with existing curling rink and outdoor swimming pool mechanical systems. The project will be delivered using a CMAR model with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), involving pre-construction services such as constructability reviews, cost estimating, value engineering, scheduling, procurement planning, risk management, and development of a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP). Subject to successful pre-construction and approvals, the selected proponent may provide construction management services through project completion. The estimated construction value is approximately $15 million.
