Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is submitting an information collection request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and clearance. This notice allows an additional 30 days for public comments on the extension without change of the currently approved collection titled 'Request for the Return of Original Documents'. The form standardizes USCIS procedures for requesting the return of original documents contained in alien files and is used to determine eligibility for obtaining these documents. The estimated annual respondents are 6,600 with an average response time of 0.5 hours, totaling 3,300 hours of public burden and an estimated cost burden of $808,500 annually.
