NOAA Final Evaluation Findings for Coastal Management Programs and Estuarine Research Reserves

This notice provides the results of NOAA's final evaluations for several state and territory coastal management programs and National Estuarine Research Reserves: - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Department of Commerce - Programs and Reserves Evaluated: - State and territory coastal management programs: Minnesota, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Wisconsin - National Estuarine Research Reserves: Jacques Cousteau, Jobos Bay, North Inlet-Winyah Bay, Old Woman Creek, Padilla Bay, Rookery Bay, Wells - Purpose of Evaluation: - Assess compliance with the Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA) Sections 312 and 315 - Determine adherence to federally approved management plans and financial assistance terms - Key Findings: - Most programs and reserves are compliant with national objectives and CZMA requirements - Jobos Bay Reserve was found not fully compliant - Public comments were considered in the evaluation process - No procurement activity: - No products or services are being requested, procured, or awarded in this notice

Description

This notice announces the availability of final evaluation findings for five State and Territory coastal management programs (Minnesota, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin) and seven National Estuarine Research Reserves (Jacques Cousteau, Jobos Bay, North Inlet-Winyah Bay, Old Woman Creek, Padilla Bay, Rookery Bay, and Wells). These evaluations were prepared pursuant to Sections 312 and 315 of the Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA). The findings assess the extent to which these programs and reserves meet national objectives, adhere to management plans, and comply with financial assistance terms. Public comments were considered in the final evaluation findings.
