Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is proposing changes to the protective regulations for the grizzly bear in the lower-48 States under section 4(d) of the Endangered Species Act. This proposal revises the January 15, 2025, proposed rule and reopens the comment period to allow public input on substantive changes to the protective regulations. The proposal includes exceptions and prohibitions related to the conservation of the grizzly bear, such as import/export, possession, permits, and management activities. The Service is considering issuing separate final rules for the grizzly bear listing revision and the 4(d) rule revision.
