Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an invitation for bid to award a construction contract for the design and construction of a modular office space located along Steamboat Road on the US Merchant Marine Academy Campus (USMMA) adjacent to 307 Steamboat Road. The project magnitude is between $1-5M.This project will be advertised as 100% total Small Business Set-Aside. Summary of Work: The project objective is to design and provide a turnkey modular office facility. The scope includes the design and construction of a new office space of approximately 5,700 square feet, composed of custom modular units. The facility will be a single-story complex with a u-shaped space opening onto a small deck. It will house open offices with cubicles, six private offices, two conference rooms, four single-user bathrooms, a kitchenette/pantry room, lactation room, storage closets, and a mechanical room. The project scope encompasses incidental demolition, site prep work, foundations, underground utility hook ups, and site lighting. The contractor will also be responsible for providing furniture, fixtures, and equipment based upon the drawings and documentation provided in the Specifications package. The building and site infrastructure are required to have a minimum life expectancy of 10 to 15 years.
