The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking a supplier for specialized lateral flow strips to support rapid HIV nucleic acid diagnostic testing using the CDC-developed LAMP assay. - Government Buyer: - Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of HIV Prevention, Laboratory Branch - Office: Chamblee Campus Building 102, MS S102-4 - Products Requested: - 4,000 lateral flow strips for rapid HIV nucleic acid diagnostic tests - Designed to detect amplified HIV DNA using gold-conjugated antibodies to 6-carboxyfluorescein (FAM) or similar antigen - Must deliver results within 10 minutes - Required to have low false positive (<0.5%) and false negative (<1% at 1000 copies) rates - Must be cassette-housing agnostic and reproducible at nominal cost - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; open to biomedical engineering or medical device companies with experience in lateral flow device design and production - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strips must be compatible with the CDC-developed LAMP reaction - Intended for both pre-clinical and clinical evaluation - High specificity and sensitivity are required - Contractor must demonstrate relevant expertise in lateral flow device manufacturing

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.202, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested.

The solicitation number for this requirement is 75D30126Q79099 and is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) using FAR Subpart 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract, see the attached RFQ for more details and instructions to offerors.  See the CLINS and FAR Clauses and Provisions associated with this combined synopsis / solicitation in the attached RFQ.

The quote format is at the discretion of the offeror.

This acquisition is under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541714.  A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be issued in writing to the successful offeror. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of quote submission.
