Description

The Phoenix Indian Medical Center (PIMC), Indian Health Service (IHS), is conducting market research to identify qualified and capable small business sources that can provide a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA)-approved Proficiency Testing (PT) Program and College of American Pathologists (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Program services for the PIMC Laboratory and Pathology Departments.

The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to determine the availability of qualified vendors, including small business concerns, capable of providing all labor, materials, supplies, software, technical support, and services necessary to administer a CLIA-approved Proficiency Testing Program and CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program. This notice is issued for market research purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, request for proposal (RFP), or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparing or submitting responses.

The required services include, but are not limited to:

Provision of a CLIA-approved Proficiency Testing (PT) Program covering all laboratory disciplines performed at PIMC. Provision and administration of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Program. Supply of proficiency testing specimens, evaluation reports, educational resources, and corrective action guidance. Access to accreditation standards, inspection checklists, quality management tools, and technical consultation. Ongoing support necessary to maintain compliance with the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), College of American Pathologists (CAP), and The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation and regulatory requirements. Technical assistance and customer support related to proficiency testing enrollment, reporting, accreditation activities, and regulatory updates.

The Contractor shall provide services that support continuous laboratory quality improvement and assist the PIMC Laboratory and Pathology Departments in maintaining accreditation while ensuring the delivery of accurate, reliable, and timely diagnostic laboratory services to Native American patients.
