This opportunity is for the full replacement of electrical systems in the Airfield Lighting Vault (B836) at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, supporting one of the nation's busiest airfields. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 14th Civil Engineering Squadron, Contracting Office at Columbus AFB - Point of contact: Daniel Stilts, 14 CES CECC - Products/Equipment Requested: - New 277/480V 800A Main Distribution Panel (Square D I-line or equivalent) - New 277/480V Panel-R with 300A copper bus bar (Square D I-line or equivalent) - New 120/240V 1-phase subpanel with 400A copper bus bar (Square D I-line or equivalent) - New 120/240V panel with 350A main copper bus bar (Square D I-line or equivalent) - Seven circuit selectors compatible with existing Crouse-Hinds Constant Current Regulators (CCR) and Airfield Lighting Control System (ALCS) - Services Required: - Complete design services by a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer - Demolition of existing panels and breakers - Installation of new panels, breakers, circuit selectors, wiring, conduit, and terminations - Quality control, daily inspections, independent laboratory testing, and warranty services (minimum one year) - Notable Requirements: - All new panels and breakers must match existing amp ratings and be Square D I-line or government-approved equivalent - Circuit selectors must be compatible with Crouse-Hinds CCR and ALCS - No disruption to airfield operations during construction - Compliance with all safety, security, and environmental standards - Design submittals required at 35%, 65%, 95%, and 100% completion for government review - Project is a small business set-aside under NAICS 238210 - Estimated contract value: $250,000 to $500,000 - 270-day period of performance from Notice to Proceed
Description
NOTE: Contractors/Offerors must complete CUI Training Slides; sign and return the "MFR Contractor CUI Training Acknowledgment for Solicitations" attachment to gain access to drawings and other associated CUI documentation. Once the POC has received your signed MFR, please request access to the locked documents through SAM.gov. Your MFR will be reviewed and access to the lock SAM.gov documents will be granted accordingly. Proposals will be submitted electronically.
Description: The primary objective of this project is to replace the elevator car, mechanical pump and control systems, and hoist-way doors. The intent is to reuse existing hydraulic jack system in the elevator shaft.
Site Visit, RSVP, and Base Entry: The Government invites you to a site visit on 18 Aug 2026 at 9:00 AM CST. Attendance is highly encouraged but not mandatory. Please note that registration is required by 7:30 AM CST on 05 Aug 2026. To register, please email the POC requesting a DoD Safe drop-off link to securely upload your completed Entry Authorization Listing (EAL) document (found in the list of SAM.gov attachments). If you do not contact the POC by 7:30 AM CST on 05 Aug 2026, you will not be able to attend the site visit.
Identification: All attendees must bring a valid photo ID. All photo IDs must meet the requirements for "REAL ID."
Vehicle Requirements: If driving on base, please ensure the driver has driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance.
IMPORTANT: All contractors should arrive at Columbus AFB’s Visitors Center early and wait for a 14th Contracting Squadron representative to arrive and lead them to the site visit location. The representative will leave the visitors’ center at 9:00 AM CST

The range of magnitude for this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000.

Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government’s obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
