The California Department of Water Resources (DWR) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive services for water treatment systems at State Water Project facilities across multiple field divisions. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Water Resources (DWR), Operations and Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Services - Part of the California Natural Resources Agency - Scope of Work: - Inspection, testing, maintenance, refurbishment, repair, replacement, and installation of water treatment systems - Services cover a wide range of equipment: activated carbon systems, ammonia removal, carbon filtration, bacterial removal, chlorine handling, corrosion control, oxygen generators, water purification, ultraviolet disinfection, ultrafiltration, packaged systems, septic tanks, and sludge/sewage removal equipment - Includes conventional treatment, settling tanks, media filters, UV systems, membrane filtration, reverse osmosis, pressure and gravity sand filters, clarifiers, pumps, chemical feed systems, hydropneumatic tanks, and granular activated carbon systems - Commissioning services for instrumentation and control systems (wiring checks, calibration, software verification, loop checks, motor control checks, operator training) - Shop and on-site testing (hydrostatic, pump/motor certification, electrical/functional checkout, 72-hour performance testing with water quality sampling) - Onsite operator training classes - Requirements: - Contractor must hold appropriate California contractor licenses (A, C-10, or C-36) - Demonstrated experience with at least ten water treatment projects - Meet Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Contract Term: - Three-year base contract with an option to renew for two additional years

Description

The Department of Water Resources (DWR) is soliciting bids for comprehensive services including inspection, testing, maintenance, refurbishment, repair, replacement, and installation of water treatment systems. These services will be conducted at various DWR facilities throughout the State Water Project (SWP), including pumping and power plants and other buildings supporting power-related equipment. The contract term is anticipated to be three years with an option to renew for two additional years. The contractor must ensure all water treatment systems function efficiently and meet operational standards.
