This opportunity involves a major renovation of the Food Science Lab at CUNY Queens College Remsen Hall, managed by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY). - Government Buyer: - Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), Construction Division, Queens College office - Project Scope: - Comprehensive renovation of approximately 4,500 sq. ft. of lab and instructional space - Demolition of existing finishes, casework, and equipment - Installation of new lab casework, food science equipment, and AV systems - Addition of at least 13 lab workstations and over 20 kitchen appliances with dedicated GFCI circuits - Installation of three new rooftop HVAC units for ventilation, cooling, and heating - Electrical upgrades including new LED lighting, a 600A distribution panel, and 200A branch panels - Plumbing upgrades with new water, gas, and sanitary connections - Kitchen hoods with ANSUL fire suppression systems - Roof penetrations and extensive interior renovation - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with Project Labor Agreement (PLA) - Participation goals for Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) - Submission must include company profile, experience, project schedules, safety program, résumés, subcontractor info, workload, insurance/bonding, and NYS vendor responsibility documentation - Only qualified firms will be shortlisted for future bidding - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Estimated project value is $6.5M–$7M

This solicitation is for Expressions of Interest (EOI) only for a comprehensive renovation of the Food Science Lab on the 3rd floor of Remsen Hall at Queens College. The project includes demolition, new finishes, lab casework, equipment, AV systems, fire suppression, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roof penetrations, and extensive interior renovation over approximately 4,500 sq. ft. The renovation aims to modernize an outdated lab space to meet current codes and academic needs. The project will be awarded based on qualification packages and requires execution of a Project Labor Agreement (PLA).
