Description

This program enables the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) to provide timely technical assistance to law enforcement and criminal justice agencies in Southern Cone Cooperation (SCC) partner countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay). The assistance aims to combat transnational criminal organizations and prevent foreign terrorist organizations from operating in the region. The program supports regional security, promotes the rule of law, and advances U.S. interests in the Western Hemisphere by enhancing citizen security, dismantling criminal networks, and strengthening criminal justice institutions.
