Description
The community of ʔaq̓am is seeking to continue prescribed burning on ʔaq̓am lands to reduce wildfire risk and restore the land to pre-colonial conditions. The project area, Lot 79, covers 137 hectares within the southwest corner of Kootenay IR 1 near Cranbrook Airport and includes five Treatment Units for flexible implementation.
