Description

The U.S. Department of Transportation intends to amend and renew OMB Control Number 2105-0588 concerning consumer disclosure requirements for airline baggage fees and other optional service fees. These requirements apply to U.S. and foreign air carriers and ticket agents, mandating disclosures on carrier websites, fare quotation screens, e-ticket confirmations, and codeshare flights. The information collection supports transparency and compliance with 14 CFR 399.85 as amended by the 2026 final rule. Comments on this proposal are due by September 14, 2026.
