This notice informs the public that the American Short Line and Regional Railroad Association (ASLRRA) has petitioned the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to amend an existing waiver concerning regulations on hours of service for railroads. The amendment seeks to add 8 railroads to the list of participants in the original waiver. The ASLRRA conducts training multiple times annually for waiver participants to clarify the waiver requirements. Comments on the petition are invited until September 14, 2026.
