The Harrison County Railroad Authority (HCRA) has filed a verified notice of exemption to replace Gulf & Ship Island Railroad LLC (GSIR) as the operator over approximately 5 miles of rail line known as the Seaway Lead in Harrison County, Mississippi. The change of operators is authorized by the County, which owns and leases the line, and GSIR does not oppose the change. HCRA certifies that its projected annual revenues will not exceed $5 million and that the transaction does not impose an interchange commitment. Notice has been provided to all customers on the line, and the transaction may be consummated on or after July 30, 2026.
