NOAA is convening a public webinar as part of the SEDAR 105 assessment for Gulf gag grouper. - Purpose: Topical Working Group Red Tide Mortality I webinar for fisheries data review and assessment - Participants include: - Gulf, South Atlantic, and Caribbean Fishery Management Councils - National Marine Fisheries Service Southeast Regional Office - Highly Migratory Species Management Division - Southeast Fisheries Science Center - Open to the public: scientists, biologists, fishermen, environmentalists, agency staff, and stakeholders - Focus: Data collection, assessment, and review to inform fisheries management advice - No procurement: No products, services, OEMs, or vendors involved - Informational and participatory event only

Description

The Southeast Data Assessment and Review (SEDAR) 105 assessment process of Gulf gag grouper will consist of a series of assessment webinars. The SEDAR 105 Topical Working Group Red Tide Mortality I webinar is scheduled for August 5, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m. Eastern Time. The process involves data collection, assessment, and review stages to develop fisheries management advice. The webinar is open to the public and participants include scientists, biologists, fishermen, environmentalists, and agency staff.
