The United States Postal Service (USPS) is seeking a contractor to provide regular mail transportation and delivery services for Box Route H072 in Palmdale, California. - Government Buyer: - United States Postal Service (USPS) - Contract Delivery Services, Palmdale, CA office - Contact: Amy Warnecke - Service Requirements: - Daily (except Sundays and holidays) mail delivery for Highway Contract Route (HCR) 935C2/Box Route H072 - Route covers approximately 43.2 round-trip miles per day, handling an estimated 588 mailboxes per trip - Service hours: 07:00 to 10:17 - Contractor must provide one vehicle with at least 120 cubic feet of usable load space - Vehicle must have roof-mounted warning lights visible from all directions - Vehicle must be equipped with a cellular phone for two-way communication - Vehicle must be maintained in good condition and meet USPS operational and safety standards - Contractor responsible for casing, loading, transporting, unloading mail, and mail exchange at designated points - Compliance with USPS security, safety, and personnel screening requirements is mandatory - Use of scanning devices and mail protection procedures required - Contract Details: - Fixed-price contract with economic price adjustments - Base period from October 1, 2026, to July 31, 2032, with possible short-term extensions up to 6 months - Provisions for adjustments based on route changes, extra trips, and fuel price fluctuations - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named, as this is a service-based procurement - Vehicle and equipment requirements are specified, but the make or model is not mandated
