This opportunity is a market survey by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to identify LED lighting products that meet strict technical and regulatory requirements for use in FAA facilities. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), En Route Construction Group, Northwest/Mountain Region - Products/Services Requested: - Interior and exterior LED lighting systems, including: - LED flat panel troffers (sizes: 6"x4', 1'x4', 2'x4', 2'x2') - Recessed downlights (sizes: 3", 4", 6", 8") - Wrap/shop lights (4' length, linkable, surface and suspended mounting) - LED drivers and assemblies (with integral surge, thermal, and short-circuit protection) - LED lamps (approx. 50,000-hour life) - LED exit signs (UL 924, red block lettering) - Emergency lights (90-minute duration, 5-year warranty) - Lighting poles and multi-pin receptacles for streetlights - Surge protection and overcurrent protection devices for lighting circuits - Key Requirements: - All products must comply with FAA LED Lighting Specification No. FAA-E-37018 - Must meet FCC Title 47 Part 15 Class B (low electromagnetic interference) - Must offer emergency battery backup option - Minimum 50,000-hour rated lifespan for luminaires and lamps - Buy American Preference (BAP) compliance is mandatory (FAA-specific clause) - Products must meet UL, ANSI/IES, and Federal Specification standards - Emphasis on energy efficiency, quality assurance, and physical security lighting - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the notice or attachments - Quantities and Part Numbers: - No specific quantities or part numbers are provided - Notable Requirements: - All lighting must be suitable for both interior and exterior FAA facility use - Emergency and exit lighting must meet federal safety and performance standards - Outdoor lighting must include surge and overcurrent protection

Description

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), En Route Construction Group, is conducting a Market Survey to identify LED Light Fixtures that meet the FAA's requirements and are also Buy American Compliant.

FAA General Requirements:

1) FAA LED Lighting Specification No. FAA-E-37018 (Attachment 1).

2) FCC Title 47 Part 15 Class B Rating (see Attachment 2).

2) FAA's Buy American Preference (BAP) Compliant (see attached Buy American Preference contract clause, which is specific to the FAA and different from the Buy America Act) (See Attachment 3).  

3) Option for Emergency Battery Back Up

4) Minimum Lifespan 50,000 Hrs

LED Flat Panel Troffers Size options of 6”x4’, 1’x4’, 2’x4’, and 2’x2’.
