The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), under the Department of War, is seeking industry input for a large-scale procurement of commercial currency handling equipment for 235 commissary locations worldwide. - Government Buyer: - Department of War, Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) - OEMs and Vendors: - Target standards reference Cassida (Cassida 9900R V2 and Cassida C300) or strictly equivalent products - Products/Services Requested: - 235 Mixed Bill Counters & Value Discriminators - Target: Cassida 9900R V2 or equivalent - Features: Multi-denomination value counting, orientation flexibility, integrated counterfeit detection, upgradeable for new U.S. $10 bill - 235 Heavy-Duty Commercial Coin Sorters & Packagers - Target: Cassida C300 or equivalent - Features: Mixed coin counting and sorting, total value display, 1000+ coin hopper, 300 coins/min sorting speed, automated batching/wrapping with coin tubes - 3-year extended maintenance support plan for all units - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Equipment must support high-volume, commercial-grade use - Integrated counterfeit detection and upgradeability for new currency - Global drop-shipping to 235 locations - 3-year maintenance plan included for all equipment

Description

The Army Contracting Command–Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Installation and Technology Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research and assess industry capability to meet the requirement for Currency Handling Equipment in support of the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA).

This is not a solicitation for proposals, a promise to issue a solicitation in the future, or a commitment to purchase any products or services. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained within their response. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. The Government will not reimburse any company or individual for any expenses associated with preparing/submitting information in response to this posting. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense.
