Description
Montgomery County, Maryland is seeking services for a municipal solid waste (MSW) sorting and recovery processing system to support its zero waste, climate, and circular economy goals. The solicitation aims to procure technologies and processes that can sort MSW to extract recyclable materials and organics for recovery through recycling and diversion. Residual material that cannot be recovered will be disposed of under a separate contract. The County will continue to operate and improve its programs for recycling source-separated material, waste reduction, and reuse to minimize the quantity and impact of MSW requiring disposal.
