The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive facility maintenance services at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Visitor Contact Site in Everglades City, Florida. - Government Buyer: - National Park Service (NPS), Interior Region 2: South Atlantic/Gulf, Major Acquisition Buying Office - South MABO, Everglades National Park - Scope of Services: - Daily custodial cleaning and sanitation of restrooms, public areas, and visitor spaces - Routine landscaping, including irrigation, trimming, pruning, weed control, and debris removal - HVAC system inspection, preventive maintenance, filter replacement, and cleaning per ANSI/ASHRAE/ACCA standards - Elevator inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, and emergency response per Florida Building Code and ASME A17.1/CBA B44 - Bi-annual pressure washing of building exteriors, hardscapes, and docks - Annual parking lot striping and marking compliant with MUTCD and ADA standards - Annual signage inspection, cleaning, minor repairs, and protective coating - Key Requirements: - Contractors must have EPA 608 certification for HVAC work and Florida Elevator Inspector Certification - All personnel must be qualified and licensed; quality control and safety compliance are mandatory - 100% set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses (SDVOSB) - Contract Structure: - Firm-fixed-price contract - 12-month base period with up to four option years (some documents reference two option years) - Services must begin within 30 days of award - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named; services are based on industry standards and regulatory codes - Notable Details: - Includes both routine and specialized maintenance (e.g., elevator and HVAC compliance) - Emphasis on environmental protection during pressure washing - Monthly invoicing and performance evaluations required
