This opportunity is for organizations to provide Prevention and Aftercare (P&A) services for vulnerable children and families in Los Angeles County. - Government Buyer: - County of Los Angeles, Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) - Contact: Brandon T. Nichols - Scope of Services: - Prevention and Aftercare services to prevent child abuse and neglect - Includes Differential Response Path 1, multi-level case management, community outreach, discretionary funds, and emergency basic support services - Services must be strength-based, family-centered, and community-oriented - Targeted support for American Indian/Alaska Native and Asian Pacific Islander communities, as well as countywide coverage - Contract Structure: - Up to ten contracts awarded across Service Planning Areas (SPAs) and for specific communities - Initial term of six months, with four optional one-year extensions (up to 4.5 years total) - Maximum annual funding of $5.8 million - Eligibility and Requirements: - Open to nonprofit or public entities with relevant experience - Must meet mandatory requirements, including compliance with county policies (conflict of interest, zero tolerance on human trafficking, fair chance employment, charitable contributions, debarment history) - Registration on the County's WebVen system required - Preference programs available for Local Small Business Enterprise (LSBE), Social Enterprise (SE), and Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) - Adherence to California Charities Regulation for nonprofits - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified service providers

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) is soliciting proposals through a Request for Proposals (RFP) to contract with organizations capable of providing Prevention and Aftercare (P&A) services to vulnerable children and families in Los Angeles County. The objective of the P&A services is to offer a comprehensive, integrated continuum of strength-based, family-centered, and community-oriented resources.
