Kodiak Island Borough is seeking to establish a roster of qualified contractors for on-call maintenance, repair, and small construction services across more than twelve borough-owned facilities. - Government Buyer: - Kodiak Island Borough, Engineering & Facilities Department - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; this is a general solicitation for contractor services by trade or specialty - Products/Services Requested: - Landscaping and lawn care (mowing, trimming, pruning, fertilization, planting, debris removal, grounds maintenance) - Carpentry (construction, maintenance, repair, framing, doors, windows, cabinetry, renovations) - Parking lot & pavement repair (asphalt/concrete maintenance, repair, markings, drainage) - Concrete services (sidewalks, curbs, slabs, foundations) - Overhead doors (inspection, maintenance, repair, replacement) - Diving services (underwater inspection, maintenance, repair for intake, outfall, process piping) - Striping (pavement markings, traffic symbols) - Elevators (inspection, testing, maintenance, repair) - Tsunami warning system (inspection, maintenance, repair of sirens and communications) - Generators (inspection, maintenance, repair, testing of standby/emergency power systems) - Vacuum truck services (cleaning, pumping, hydro-excavation, disposal) - Heavy equipment repair (inspection, maintenance, repair of loaders, excavators, etc.) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Each contract is capped at $50,000 and is for projects below this threshold - Contractors must provide proof of relevant licenses, insurance, and a completed pricing schedule - Compliance with Alaska prevailing wage laws and the Alaska Employment Preference Act is required - Certified payroll records must be submitted when required - Contractors may submit for multiple specialties but must provide separate submissions for each - Selection for the roster does not guarantee work; assignments are made as needed, with preference to the lowest-priced responsive and responsible contractor per specialty

Description

The Kodiak Island Borough is soliciting qualifications and pricing from contractors to establish a roster of qualified contractors by trade or specialty for future maintenance, repair, and small construction projects on an as-needed basis. The roster will be used for projects with an estimated value of less than $50,000. Inclusion on the roster does not guarantee the award of any work. Contractors will be compensated only for work requested, completed, and accepted by the Borough.
