Description
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Department of Anthropology has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory determined a cultural affiliation between the remains and associated objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice details the repatriation process and the cultural affiliation findings. Repatriation may occur on or after August 14, 2026.
