Description
In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Field Museum intends to repatriate 175 cultural items classified as sacred objects or objects of cultural patrimony. These items have a cultural affiliation with the Pulikla Tribe of Yurok People and include various artifacts such as adzes, aprons, bows, ceremonial spears, and baskets. The repatriation may occur on or after August 14, 2026. Requests for repatriation must be sent to the authorized representative at the Field Museum.
