Description
In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), Franklin Pierce University intends to repatriate a cultural item defined as an unassociated funerary object with cultural affiliation to Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The item is a Pottery Pipe Fragment from Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. Repatriation may occur on or after August 14, 2026. Requests for repatriation must be sent to the authorized representative and may be submitted by any lineal descendant, Indian Tribe, or Native Hawaiian organization showing cultural affiliation.
