Description
Skidmore College has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory includes remains of at least five individuals and 24 associated funerary objects such as ceramic sherds, faunal remains, lithic materials, and other artifacts. These remains and objects were removed from various sites in Saratoga County, New York, dating from the Woodland Period to the 17th century. Skidmore College has determined a cultural affiliation with the Stockbridge Munsee Community, Wisconsin, and is facilitating repatriation requests.
