The U.S. Department of State, American Embassy Nairobi, is seeking to retain legal counsel services specializing in employment law for operations in Seychelles, Somalia, and Kenya. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy Nairobi, Human Resources Office - Services Requested: - Legal counsel services in employment law - Provider must be certified to practice in Mogadishu (Somalia), Seychelles, and Kenya - Contractor must have a physical office in Nairobi - Minimum of 10 years of employment law experience required - Services include legal analysis, advice, document review and drafting, representation in negotiations and litigation, legal research, reporting, and coordination - Flexible billing methods under a retainer or Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Minimum one-year commitment - Payment for services as used (not a fixed monthly fee) - Award will be made to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price, potentially without discussions - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

Mission Nairobi (managed by the Human Resources Office) requires legal counsel services with an expertise in employment law who is certified to practice in the following countries: Mogadishu, Seychelles, and Kenya.  This should be a retainer/ BPA arrangement where we pay for services as they are used, with a minimum one-year commitment.

The U.S. Government intends to award a contract/purchase order/Blanket Purchase agreement (BPA) to the responsible company submitting an acceptable offer at the lowest price. We intend to award a contract/purchase order/BPA based on initial proposals, without holding discussions, although we may hold discussions with companies in the competitive range if there is a need to do so.
