Description

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM), has a requirement for the purchase of one (1) automated robotic liquid handling system capable of automating DNA shearing and AMPure bead cleanup workflows used in long-read sequencing library preparation. The system shall support automated processing of up to 96 samples in a 96-well plate format and be interoperable with the Government's existing Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) Sequel IIe sequencing environment and validated laboratory workflows. This acquisition is being conducted as a brand-name-or-equal procurement. Equal products must meet all stated salient characteristics, interoperability requirements, workflow compatibility requirements, and performance specifications. The requirement includes delivery, installation, operational verification, end-user training for a minimum of two users, consumables sufficient to process at least 200 samples, and a minimum 12-month manufacturer warranty. The system shall be new and unused; refurbished or remanufactured equipment will not be accepted. Delivery shall be made to the FDA CVM laboratory facility in Laurel, Maryland, within 60 days of award.
