Merced County Department of Public Works is seeking contractors for up to two Job Order Contracts (JOCs) to provide a broad range of construction-related services for county properties. - Government Buyer: - County of Merced, Department of Public Works, Public Works Director's Office - OEMs and Vendors: - The Gordian Group (provides the JOC Solution, Construction Task Catalog®, and JOC Information Management System software) - Products/Services Requested: - Repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, and demolition services for county buildings, offices, facilities, structures, infrastructure, and other real property - All work to be performed under individual Job Orders, priced using Gordian's Construction Task Catalog and managed through Gordian's JOC IMS software - Quantities and Contract Details: - Up to two contracts, each with a maximum value of $6,402,606 - Initial term of 12 months, with three optional one-year extensions - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractors must hold a valid California Class A Contractor's license - Compliance with California prevailing wage laws is mandatory - Use of Gordian's proprietary JOC system and payment of a 1% JOC System License Fee on all job orders - Submission of $25,000 bid security and $250,000 payment and performance bonds - Registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations required - Bids evaluated based on adjustment factors for unit pricing - Liquidated damages apply for delays beyond job order completion times

Description

Merced County is soliciting sealed proposals for up to two separate Job Order Contracts (JOCs) involving repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, and demolition work on various county properties. Each contract may have a maximum value of $6,402,606 and a duration of 12 months. Contractors must hold a Class A Contractor's license at the time of award and comply with California wage laws. Bids will be evaluated based on bid adjustment factors, and a pre-bid meeting will be held virtually on July 1, 2026.
