Tompkins County Sheriff's Office is seeking a qualified Physician/Medical Director or agency to provide comprehensive medical oversight and direct patient care for incarcerated individuals at the Corrections Division in Ithaca, NY. - Government Buyer: - Tompkins County Sheriff's Office (Corrections Division) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) or commercial vendors are named in the solicitation - Products/Services Requested: - Physician/Medical Director Services - Comprehensive clinical oversight, administrative leadership, and direct patient care for incarcerated individuals - Duties include on-site clinics, intake reviews, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program leadership, mental health coordination, nursing supervision, formulary control, utilization management, quality assurance, compliance with New York State Commission of Correction (SCOC) Minimum Standards, emergency coverage, legal support, and reporting - 24/7 on-call coverage required - Must hold NYS medical licensure, DEA registration, malpractice insurance, and have at least five years of corrections healthcare experience - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Strict adherence to SCOC Minimum Standards (Part 7010) and correctional health practices - Contractor must provide both clinical and administrative medical leadership within a correctional facility - Proposals evaluated on credentials, jail operations knowledge, availability, rates, and references - No set-aside goals for SDVOB, MBE, WBE, or DBE participation - Period of Performance: - Initial contract term is one year, with two optional one-year extensions by mutual agreement

Tompkins County is seeking a qualified Physician/Medical Director to provide comprehensive clinical oversight, administrative leadership, and direct patient care for incarcerated individuals at the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office. The contractor must ensure all operations comply with the New York State Commission of Correction (SCOC) Minimum Standards (Part 7010) and standard correctional health practices. The contract term is from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027, with two one-year extension options. Proposals are due by August 14, 2026, and questions must be submitted by August 7, 2026.
