Description
The Iowa DNR is seeking contractors to remove all trees and brush from up to 9 acres of remnant prairie on the East Fork WMA – Behounek Tract in Humboldt County, Iowa. The work includes felling all trees 3 DBH and greater, cutting stumps flush with the ground, treating stumps with herbicide, piling cut trees and stump butts, and forestry mowing all brush. The site must be accessible for tractor mowing after completion, and all work will be done on dry or frozen ground to minimize soil disturbance. The project location is in the NW corner of the State property along Oak Avenue, approximately 1 mile north of Livermore, Iowa.
