(NSI) is the exclusive manufacturer, installer, and service provider for the X-Series X3000 CT system and its proprietary software (efX-DR, View, efX-CT) - Products/Services Requested: - Preventive maintenance for the NSI X3000 CT Scanner System - Includes two scheduled preventive maintenance visits per year - Cleaning, inspection, adjustments, radiation safety survey, imaging system alignment verification - Software maintenance, documentation, preferred scheduling, unlimited customer support - 10% discount on parts (excluding x-ray tubes and imaging devices), discounted corrective service rates - All replacement parts are factory certified by NSI; service technicians are NSI certified - Parts and labor for routine maintenance are covered - Software maintenance for proprietary NSI software (efX-DR, View, efX-CT) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Sole source justification: NSI is the only authorized provider due to proprietary technology and exclusive distribution rights - No other OEMs or vendors are eligible to provide these services - Estimated contract value: $132,644 for a base year plus four option years

Description

The Bureau of ATF intends to negotiate a sole source award with NORTH STAR IMAGING INC of Rogers, MN for Preventive maintenance and software maintenance for the Fire Research Laboratory’s computed tomography (CT) system.  North Star Imaging Inc. (NSI) is the designer, engineer, manufacturer, integrator, installer, and performer of site acceptance tests for all NSI X-Series X3000 systems. The image acquisition and reconstruction software, including efX-DR, View, and efX-CT have also been developed by, and are proprietary to NSI exclusively. In addition, within the United States, NSI is the sole distributor of NSI equipment and is the only company approved by NSI to install, service, and maintain the equipment and software.

This sole source notice is issued IAW RFO 6.103-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.  THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS.
