US Coast Guard Solicits Street Legal Security Carts with Safety Features and Training

The US Coast Guard Base Los Angeles/Long Beach is seeking to procure and deliver two fully operational, street legal security carts for facility security operations. - Government Buyer: - Department of Homeland Security - United States Coast Guard - Base Los Angeles Long Beach - Products Requested: - Two (2) street legal security carts - Must support at least a driver and one passenger - Must comply with all local and state safety requirements - Required features: - Siren - Public address (PA) system - Yellow/amber bar type strobe light (permanently mounted on top) - Enclosed trunk back - Front and rear bumpers - Optional feature: Sealed beam spotlight (permanently mounted on left front door, if possible) - Must be delivered fully assembled and operational - Services Requested: - Initial setup and operational training for designated staff (2 sessions) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Delivery must occur within 45 days of contract award - Inspection and acceptance by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) - No specific OEMs, brands, or part numbers specified; open to any manufacturer meeting requirements - Award will be made based on lowest price technically acceptable offer

Description

Procure and deliver 02 street legal security carts to Coast Guard Los Angeles/ Long Beach. All equipment must be delivered in fully operational condition. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring reliable functionality of carts. For solicitation purposes, please provide a breakdown of price. In accordance with FAR 15.101-2 Lowest price technically acceptable source selection process, award will be made on the basis of the lowest evaluated price of proposals meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards for non-cost factors.

The specification of the vehicles includes, but is not limited to the following:

Vehicles must be sufficient in size to support the driver and a minimum of one passenger. Vehicles must meet the safety requirements in accordance with local and state laws. Vehicles must have a siren and public address system. Vehicles must have yellow/amber bar type strobe light permanently mounted on the top of each vehicle. Vehicles must have enclosed trunk back. Vehicles must have front and rear bumper. Optional Features (as requested) Sealed beam spotlights permanently mounted on left front door of each vehicle (if possible).
