The Town of Chapel Hill is soliciting proposals for comprehensive janitorial services at the Chapel Hill Public Library, a 63,000 sq ft LEED Silver certified facility. - Government Buyer: - Town of Chapel Hill, Purchasing & Contracts Manager, Chapel Hill Public Library - No specific OEMs or product vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified janitorial service providers. - Services Requested: - Daily cleaning service seven days per week (excluding holidays), performed after library closing and before 7 am - Daily afternoon porter service (minimum two hours per day, seven days per week, excluding holidays) for cleaning, disinfecting, supply replenishment, and trash removal - Semi-annual machine scrubbing of restroom, kitchen, and slate tile floors - Semi-annual deep cleaning of carpets and rugs - Annual deep cleaning of upholstered chairs and benches - Annual cleaning of all interior building glass, and lobby/lower-level entrance glass (interior and exterior) - Integrated pest management program for the facility - Mat service for entryways and specified locations - Laundry service for approximately 100 bar mop towels weekly for the catering kitchen - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Provider must supply all labor, equipment, and cleaning supplies - Services must meet specified performance and compliance standards for a LEED Silver certified building - Contract includes a base year with up to four one-year renewal options - Elective services such as floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning, upholstery and glass cleaning, pest management, mat, and laundry services are included in the scope
