Description
The Village of Irvington is soliciting proposals for ecological restoration services under the Community Reforestation (CoRE) Grant program funded by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The project involves implementing restoration activities in Irvington Woods Park, a 241-acre municipally owned forest preserve, to restore native forest composition, reduce invasive species, protect natural regeneration from deer herbivory, and enhance biodiversity and watershed function. Contractors may submit proposals for one or more of three components: invasive species removal and treatment, permanent deer exclosure installation, and site preparation with native tree and shrub establishment. The Village reserves the right to award contracts separately or collectively based on qualifications and value.
