The City of Culver City Public Works Environmental Programs & Operations Division is seeking proposals for a turnkey replacement and relocation of the dust and odor control misting system at its Transfer Station. - Government Buyer: - City of Culver City, Public Works Environmental Programs & Operations Division - Scope of Work: - Design, engineer, and furnish a new industrial-grade high-pressure misting system specifically for municipal solid waste transfer station operations - Remove and dispose of the existing misting system, including all pump assemblies, controls, chemical injection system, tubing, nozzles, wiring, and support structures - Relocate new pump assemblies and controls to a protected location to improve accessibility and reduce exposure to debris and rodents - Install a new system with at least five independently controllable misting zones covering key operational areas (tipping floor, loading pit, transfer areas) - Integrate a chemical injection system for odor control, with adjustable dosing and industrial-grade components - Provide all necessary tubing, piping, manifolds, isolation valves, fittings, supports, and corrosion-resistant nozzles - Implement PLC-based controls with local operator interface, remote start, individual zone control, alarms, and safety features - Startup, testing, commissioning, and operational demonstration of the new system - Comprehensive operator and maintenance training, including chemical handling and environmental considerations - Deliver detailed operations and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, electrical/control documentation, spare parts lists, and warranty documentation - Provide warranty support for a minimum of one year after final acceptance - Unique/Notable Requirements: - System must be designed for continuous industrial operation in a municipal solid waste environment - Emphasis on rodent protection, corrosion resistance, and minimizing equipment exposure to debris - Compliance with prevailing wage laws - Spare parts recommendations required - No specific OEMs or brands are named; the RFP is open to all qualified manufacturers and integrators.
