This opportunity is for the repair of the Loves Falls Bridge on the Pacific Crest Trail, managed by the USDA Forest Service and the Federal Highway Administration. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Procurement Operations, Construction and A-E Division West - Federal Highway Administration, Federal Lands Highway - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; materials must comply with standards from AWPA, AITC, ANSI/AITC, AASHTO, and ASTM - Products and Services Requested: - Repair services for the Loves Falls Bridge, including: - Cutting out and welding replacement steel segments - Replacing damaged railing steel posts - Replacing affected wooden decking - Painting and debris removal - Mobilization of equipment and materials to a remote site (accessible only by foot) - Structural timber and lumber (fabrication, treatment, erection, painting) - Hardware for timber structures (bolts, washers, nails, spikes, connectors, galvanized coatings) - Structural steel components (carbon steel, high-strength low-alloy steel per AASHTO M 270 and ASTM standards) - Bridge railing materials (aluminum alloy, aluminum bolt heads/nuts, aluminum welding wire, box beam rail) - Coating materials (removal and application of coatings, cementitious materials) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Contractor must hold a valid California Class A General Engineering Contractor license - Site is remote and only accessible by foot from the staging area - No government-furnished materials; contractor must supply all materials - Compliance with Davis-Bacon Act wage determinations - Project plan and weekly status reports required - Total Small Business Set-Aside; firm fixed price award anticipated - Compliance with industry standards for materials and fabrication - Contractor must mobilize, salvage materials, and perform final cleanup - Advance ordering of long lead items may be necessary

- A FS organized site visit will NOT be held. The project locations are open to the public and can be viewed by each prospective offeror. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

- Requests For Information (RFI’s) are required to be submitted on attachment “RFI Form” and are due to the Contracting Officer (Gregory.Cunningham@usda.gov) via email no later than July 30th, 2026, 10:00 AM Pacific Time. No questions will be accepted after this date and time.

- All quotes shall be emailed to the Contracting Officer (Gregory.Cunningham@usda.gov) no later than August 11th, 2026, 10:00 AM Pacific Time.
