This opportunity is for forestry and land management services in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, McCloud Ranger District, under the USDA Forest Service. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Shasta-Trinity National Forest, McCloud Ranger District - Procurement and Property Services, National Procurement Operations, Stewardship Contracting Branch - Scope of Work: - Create a 600-foot-wide ridgeline fuel break using mastication and tethered mastication - Mechanical mastication of brush and conifers less than 10 inches DBH over 509 acres - Includes tethered mastication on steep slopes and retention clumps as specified - Fall dead standing trees over 509 acres (excluding wildlife trees or those with nests) - Masticate tops and branches less than 10 inches diameter, buck boles, and ensure no hung up trees remain - Create two helispots (each 160-foot diameter, approx. 0.46 acres) - Fall all trees within helispot circles, masticate tops/branches, manage boles by piling or dispersing - Maintain or establish 7 miles of access roads (Bald Mountain Jeep Trail or 38N36) - Repair any damage, maintain drivability, install waterbars to prevent erosion - Notable Requirements: - Work covers approximately 509 acres for mastication and tree falling - Compliance with environmental and safety standards is required - Payment is based on quality inspections with minimum acceptable quality levels - All requirements are service-based; no specific products, part numbers, or OEMs are specified - Eligible Offerors: - Only companies approved under the Region 5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship BPA may compete - No OEMs or commercial product vendors are named in the solicitation

Description

This procurement is restricted to the approved companies eligible for call orders under the R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship BPA for the McCloud Ranger District, Shasta Trinity National Forests in the state of California.  This requirement may be awarded to one vendor as a BPA Call Order against BPA's previously solicited on the Government Point of Entry (GPE). The government will not provide feedback or evaluations to companies regarding their submissions in response to this notice that are not eligible for awards under the R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship BPA.  Create a 600-foot-wide ridgeline fuel break using mastication and tethered mastication. Project also includes falling hazard trees, creating 2 helispots, and repairing any damage caused to the access road. Examples of work include: A. Masticate brush and Small Trees. B. Fall Dead Standing Trees. C. Create 2 Helispots. D. Maintain/Establish Access.
