NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella Naples Office is soliciting quotes for voyage repair work on the USNS Medgar Evers (T-AKE 13), with performance to occur at either Bar, Montenegro or Taranto, Italy. - Government Buyer: - NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella, Site Naples (NAVAL REGIONAL CONTRACTING CENTER DET) - Military Sealift Command - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs named; technical representative services must be authorized by OEM or approved by MSC - Products/Services Requested: - Hull and structural repairs, including: - Replacement of deck penetrations for lifeboat embarkation lights (3 units) - Replacement of anchor windlass deck penetration and handrail (1 unit each) - Overhaul and repair of exterior ladders (4 units, including 21 ladder treads and 10 linear feet of handrail) - Repair of starboard RHIB davit solenoid valve (P/N: 2-1249-19; NIIN: TT0013437) - Gas Free Certificates for safe entry and hot work - Technical and manufacturer representative services for equipment inspection, testing, and reporting - Quality assurance program implementation, including regulatory inspections (ABS, USCG) - Electrical safety lock-out/tag-out procedures for low and high voltage - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must provide qualified OEM technical representatives for certain tasks - Compliance with maritime standards and regulatory inspections - Marine Chemist gas free certification required daily - All work to be performed within a 15-day period at one of two specified locations - Award based on Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) criteria - Line items are grouped into lots for each location; all technical details are in the attached work specification package.

Description

This is for a United States Navy Ship Voyage repair that will either occur in Bar, Montenegro or Taranto, Italy. Quotes for one or both locations will be accepted. Once an official location is selected, prior to award, the proposals for that location will be considered based on the factors in Section L and Section M. See attachments for more details.
