- PURPOSE 1.1 The purpose of this PWS is to perform corrective maintenance and repairs on eight (8) diesel emergency generators and fuel polishing at the Baltimore VA Medical Center and Loch Raven Medical Center to restore each unit to OEM-compliant, leak free operation and to verify performance under load testing consistent with healthcare facility requirements for emergency and standby power. The work supports critical healthcare operations; emergency power systems must meet NFPA 110 performance classifications and operational testing requirements for healthcare facilities, and interface with NFPA 99 life safety expectations.
