NASA Marshall Space Flight Center is seeking the manufacture of specialized Aheadd CP-1 material testing specimens using advanced additive manufacturing technology. - Government Buyer: - National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) - Marshall Space Flight Center - OEMs and Vendors: - NIKON AM SYNERGY INC (sole source provider) - Equipment: Nikon SLM Solutions NXG XII 600 (OEM: Nikon) - Products/Services Requested: - 30 Aheadd CP-1 material testing specimen plates - Each specimen: 12" x 5" x 0.25" - Manufactured using L-PBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) on Nikon SLM Solutions NXG XII 600 - For evaluation of cryogenic fluid management components - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Vendor must have experience with L-PBF additive manufacturing - Develop build layouts and print labels as per NASA's specimen matrix - De-powdering and shipping of specimens to NASA MSFC - Provide documentation on build pedigree and powder certification - Delivery required within six weeks of contract award

Description

VENDORS MUST REFERENCE THE TRACKING NUMBER IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE EMAIL IF SUBMITTING A CAPABILITY STATEMENT. 

Synopsis:

NASA/NSSC has a requirement for Aheadd CP-1 SLM Solutions NXG Test Plates Build. 

NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to NIKON AM SYNERGY INC: 3550 E CARSON ST | LONG BEACH, CA 90808 under the authority of FAR 12.102(a). It has been determined that NIKON AM SYNERGY INC is the sole provider of Aheadd CP-1 SLM Solutions NXG Test Plates Build.

NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort. Performance will be located at NASA/ Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC).

The Government intends to acquire Commercial items or services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 for Commercial

The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334519.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on 7/16/2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
