The Indian Health Service (IHS), Nashville Area Office, is seeking solid waste and recyclable materials removal services for the Mashpee Service Unit in Massachusetts. - Government Buyer: - Indian Health Service (IHS), Nashville Area Office, Mashpee Service Unit - Scope of Services: - Weekly solid waste pickup and bi-weekly recyclable materials collection - Contractor must provide all containers, labor, equipment, vehicles, fuel, and supplies - Includes container maintenance, scheduled collections, spill cleanup, and support for sustainability initiatives - General administrative and compliance tasks such as contract management, service logs, and 24-hour urgent contact - Requirements: - Compliance with all federal, state, and tribal waste disposal and environmental regulations - Emphasis on environmental compliance, safety, and business continuity - Set-aside for small businesses - Firm fixed-price contract - Provisions for increased frequency and special pickups as needed - Period of Performance: - Base period of 12 months with four one-year option periods (total potential duration: 5 years) - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named in the solicitation - No hazardous or medical waste removal is included; only standard solid waste and recyclables from a family clinic

Description

In execution of our mission this facility will generate solid and solid recyclable waste. The objective of this solicitation is to acquire services for the appropriate removal of that waste in a manner that assures the safeguarding of the workplace, and compliance with federal, state and local waste disposal regulations.

This is a family clinic and is not expected to have any specialty services at least initially. Therefore; the typical types of waste generated at this facility would be what you would expect at any similar facility. Also, the volume is not expected to be very large.

The types of waste shall include:

1. Common household type waste 2. Packaging 3. Cardboard and Plastics 4. No toxic or hazardous medical waste will be included in any resulting contract (separately handled)
